Dan’s advice is sound and I also don’t really like reading about stats etc although they can be interesting when backup with quality written content.

Personally I go for quality of quantity and you don’t always have to force yourself to make a half hearted post because you havn’t updated for a while. As long as you don’t leave huge gaps then people will look forward to the content.

Also, don’t be afraid to make it personal. People usually enjoy reading when you reveal a lot about yourself and what you are thinking.

Cheers for the reply Dan, some very wise words. Not playing live at all this month as not living in Newcastle anymore, managed to get up for the weekend a few weeks back but that’ll be it for a while. Will definately try and include original content and add content about other stuff than just my grinds, I just want to get quality content up from now on as i’ve had a tendancy in the past of failing at stuff like these but I think the audience is here now.

Hi Jonny. I know what you mean about just posting stats after stats figures after figures, don’t get me wrong some find it excellent reading but it can boring to both write & read depending on your audience. I personally don’t enjoy writing about it, don’t even enjoy keeping my own spreadsheets up to date but I don’t mind reading it, try just making a few light hearted posts about live events & not always about hands just the general crack & stuff. You would be surprised how much enjoyment you get out of it & the positive feedback you get. glglgl
